Mitch started his salsa addiction in '97. As a dancer and instructor, his focus is about being versatile, teaching the contemporary styles of salsa being taught in the international salsa scene. Mitch's teaching focuses on having good lead/follow fundamentals with good social dance skills and etiquette as a basis for making the dance look smooth, effortless, and fun. Mitch is an active promoter of salsa in Austin and the greater Texas salsa scene, as a host of international salsa instructors, a promotor of local and statewide salsa events, the moderator of the AustinSalsa Yahoo eGroup, and as the SalsaWeb.com city correspondent. Salsa is not just a dance to Mitch, but a lifestyle of culture, dance, music, and friends.
